Walking down the beach,
I stumbled upon him
Building a castle in the sand.
Intently focused, he dug into the shore,
Scooped up wet handfuls,
Piled them just above high tide.

As I walked up behind,
Felt the overpowering heat,
An urge from July
To apply my architectural skills
To task at hand, erecting with sand
A firmer tower on land.

Perhaps he’ll open crack upon the beach
Where new approach can go,
Spaciousness upon his back….
My creative attempt will never lack
Sufficient moisture to hold handfuls of sand
Together as I build upon smooth ass,
Take him to amusement park
To enjoy every hour of afternoon.
